   CAPE CORAL

Cape Coral, FL : Cape Coral FL has hundreds of miles of intersecting salt & fresh water canals

Cape Coral has over “400 miles” of navigable waterways, “more than any other city on earth. This boating community is the third largest metropolitan area in the State of Florida, with average yearly temperatures from 70 to 80 degrees. On the eastern side of the city is  Caloosahatchee River and Matlacha Pass is to the west.  Many boaters can access the waters of the Gulf of Mexico from a canal in their backyard! Visitors enjoy stunning sunsets at the Yacht Club followed by dinner at one of Cape Coral's fine restaurants.

History of Cape Coral

In the year 1958, two land speculators, the Rosen brothers had a dream. They built the City of Cape Coral, believing that its location on the Southwest coast of Florida, with its endless sunshine and warm temperatures would be the perfect place to live and play. They built homes, businesses and dug canals, which resulted in a water wonderland.
